Phones, tablets, and laptops are made to be portable, but do we dare allow our students to take them away from the confines of our class, library, or building? In this presentation, you'll discover how you can use technology in lessons that extend beyond the walls of the library. You'll learn how you can create your own augmented reality games, take your kids on geocaching adventures, use technology to collect scientific data, track activity, and plan for safe possibly outdoor (!) activities. The tools and strategies in this presentation can be used in elementary school, middle school, and high school settings and present excellent opportunities for teacher and librarian collaboration.
