The Texas Center for the Book at the Texas State Library and Archives Commission invites you to join in its mission of working with organizations and individuals across the state to develop and increase public appreciation of, and support for books, reading, and libraries. Learn more about the Center's resources for Texas and the new guidelines for the Letters About Literature Competition (LAL), a reading/writing contest for students under the direction of the Library of Congress. Hear about the guideline changes to this important reflective writing competition, with a grand prize that's now $2,000!
